Here the note of botrytis is quite evident on the nose with that candied high-pitched honey edge to the ultra ripe fruit. Notes of super ripe pear, apricots and pineapple come forth aromatically with a honeyed bees wax richness meshed in. The palate exhibits serious weight and density, with a viscous and oily texture that amplifies the intensly sweet fruit tones that mirror the nose. Not made for the long haul this New Zealand sticky has just enough acidity to keep the wine's sweet, fruit intensity focused for short to medium term drinking.
