The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs flows from the glass with rich layers of expressive, varietal fruit. It shows gorgeous breadth in a fairly expansive style of Chardonnay laced with pears, spices and flowers. This is a relatively understated wine that impresses for its persistence and exceptional, finessed finish. The Blanc de Blancs is made from the Heurte-Bise lieu-dit. This bottling is 100% 2005 juice but since then Chartogne has moved towards making this wine in concrete, which he feels softens some of the harder edges present when the wine was made in steel. Dosage is 6.5 grams per liter. Disgorged June 2011.
