Dönnhoff Oberhauser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett 2012
From four parcels with an average age of 39 years, and the oldest being 55, which may be why this wine improves each year. Or seems to. In fact Leistenberg is something of a secret weapon in this cellar, but as Helmut says, "We don't want to force every vineyard into making "important" wine; something has to give us our Kabinett."
Exudes juiciness, with refined yet plush flavors of red peach, Meyer lemon and dried pear, filled with expressive spicy notes. Cream and lilac accents linger on the rich finish. Drink now through 2024.
