The agricultural firm "Tintero" is placed on the wonderful hills of the municipality of Mango. On these hills, so difficult to be cultivated, the family Tintero has been leading carefully for three generations the land and the vine, symbols of the lifestyile in Langa. In the eighties, thanks to the great possibilities of the Moscato grapes and to the position of the land (South,South-West), family Tintero improved his experience in wine-making. Since 1993, thanks to the "Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita" (D.O.C.G.), the Moscato reaches the top in quality. The firm is now leaded by the family, composed by the oenologist Paolo, Marco, Elvio and Adriana.
Among the most important agronomical techniques we use:
- The "INERBIMENTO": The aim of this techniques is letting the grass grow among the lines, cutting it frequently only next to the vines and between the lines.
- The MANURING: we only use natural products, like the manure.
- The GUIDED FIGHT: leaded with metereological huts, hormones traps and with the help of technicians tht, following the climat changes, suggest every time the necessary treatments.
This has always been the company policy of family Tintero, that has been following this principle for for 3 generations: trying to reach the best quality in their products respecting land and nature, which has been so generous with the typical products of this area.
Even if it's linked to ancient traditions, the firm follows carefully the changes of the market in its problems and requests. One of the most important aims of the firm is to look for the quality respecting the natural balance of the vineyards seen as an agricultural, ecologycal system. Everything happens following the most suitable and less revolutionary agronomical techniques.
